Cardamom Honey Donuts

Fresh from the oven there is no better treat than one of these baked cardamom honey donuts! Spiced donut cake batter and sweet honey drizzle make these morning treats irresistible! Pour a cup of coffee and grab one of these tasty donuts!

Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. cardamom
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 4 tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 c. canola oil
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla paste
  • 2 eggs
  • honey for drizzle
  • sea salt sprinkle

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425 degrees.
  • In a medium mixing bowl cream together the brown sugar, melted butter, and eggs.
  • Add in the milk, canola oil, and vanilla paste.
  • In another bowl mix together your flour, baking powder, baking soda, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and mix well.
  • Oil donut pans and fill each about half way up with batter.
  • Bake in oven for 10 minutes, the donuts should rise and be golden brown.
  • Allow to cool for 3 minutes in pans before removing.
  • Place donuts over parchment paper and drizzle with a generous amount of honey, then sprinkle with sea salt.
