I have to say you all chose wisely because these donuts are delicious! Hot from the oven drizzled with local honey and a sprinkle of sea salt! What makes these donuts special? A tasty donut cake! These donuts don’t need icing or fillings to taste delicious, just a little bit of honey and they are awesome!

Cardamom Honey Donuts Ingredients:

  • 2 c. flour
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. cardamom
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 4 tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 c. canola oil
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla paste
  • 2 eggs
  • honey for drizzle
  • sea salt sprinkle

Instructions:

A simple recipe was promised so here it comes, if you can make pancakes you have all the skills to make these delicious donuts. First things first, preheat your oven to 425 degrees. Next take a medium mixing bowl and cream together with a whisk the brown sugar, melted butter, and eggs. Then add in the milk, canola oil, and vanilla paste. In another bowl mix together your flour, baking powder, baking soda, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Pour the wet ingredients into the center of the dry and mix well. Oil your donut pans and fill each about half way up with batter. Bake in oven for 10 minutes, they should rise and be golden brown.

Allow to cool for 3 minutes in pans before removing. Place donuts over parchment paper and drizzle with a generous amount of honey, then sprinkle with sea salt. Eat them hot from the oven for the best bite, they are still tasty for about 3 days if stored in airtight container.
