Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
In a small saucepan and heat the apple cider to a low boil.
Add in the granulated sugar and stir occasionally for about 12 minutes
Set cider reduction aside to cool.
In a large mixing bowl combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, salt, cream of tartar, and brown sugar.
In a kitchen aid mixer beat your eggs, butter, and brown sugar together, then pour in the apple cider reduction.
Add in the dry ingredients gradually until all mixed in.
Chill dough in fridge for 30 minutes.
In a medium bowl combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon.
Form golf ball sized dough balls in your hands and roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Press flat and place on parchment paper covered cookie sheet.
Baked in the oven for 14 minutes, allow to cool on rack before enjoying!
