Orange Pumpkin Spice Pancakes

Nothing is more enjoyable in the fall than a stack of soft pillowy orange pumpkin spice pancakes to share with family. Isn’t good food and cool weather what brings us all together this time of year? These orange pumpkin spice pancakes will have everyone gathering around the table to enjoy a family brunch or brinner together!

Orange Pumpkin Spice Pancakes

These pancakes bring the flavors and smells of fall to fill your home. Cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and vanilla mixed in with fresh squeezed orange juice and pumpkin puree?! Delicious! The smells that will fill your home when you make these alone is worth your time! What a great recipe to make for family get togethers coming up around the fall holidays.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla

How to make orange spice pumpkin pancakes:

  • The first step when making pancakes is to get your griddle or cast iron skillet pre-heated.
  • Next, you will need to mix together your dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt. 
  • In a separate mixing bowl your will put in your wet ingredients and mix them up: pumpkin puree, milk, fresh squeezed orange juice, egg, butter, and vanilla.
  • Now combine your wet and dry ingredients to form a batter.
  • Then add butter to your preheated skillet. Place 1/3 c of batter down for each pancake, wait until small bubble appear in the pancake and then flip it. Cook evenly and enjoy!
