Gingerbread Holiday Pancakes
The Christmas tree is up, lights are twinkling, family and friends are visiting, and the smells of Christmas spices fill the house. These gingerbread pancakes are Christmas in a breakfast bite! Pillowy and spicy they will keep your holiday guests asking for more, so put on some Christmas records and keep the griddle hot!
Pancakes are the perfect breakfast treat for lazy weekends, when cooking for kids, or when you have guest over. Everyone loves them and they can be paired with so many sides, eggs, potatoes, fruit, whatever you would like. Best of all they are easy to prepare!
Gingerbread Holiday Pancakes
These gingerbread pancakes are Christmas in a breakfast bite! Pillowy and spicy they will keep your holiday guests asking for more, so put on some Christmas records and keep the griddle hot!
Servings: 4 people
Ingredients
- 2 c. Flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 c. Candied Ginger chopped
- 1 c. Milk
- 1/2 c. Fresh orange juice
- 2 tbsp butter melted
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp molasses
Instructions
- Mix the dry ingredients together in a large bowl, melt your butter and mix it with the wet ingredients.
- Stir the wet ingredients the dry.
- Pour 1/3 cup pancakes onto your hot griddle, wait until some bubbles start to form, then flip.
- Serve with maple syrup, and our personal favorite, a spoonful of cranberry sauce on top.
