Instant Pot Apple Butter
Fall means apples and that means apple sauce, apple pie, apple sliced and caramel sauce, keeping doctors away, and of course apple butter! It is just most fall thing ever, smooth it out over a slice of freshly toasted bread and have a tasty snack, make crispy waffles for brunch and spread some on top, heck go apple on apple and slice up a fresh apple and dip it in the apple butter! You just can not go wrong!
Ingredients:
4 cups of apples diced
1/4 cup of water
1/4 cup of maple syrup
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. allspice
Squeeze of lemon juice.
This is the part of the recipe were I beg you to buy an Instant Pot because this recipe just requires it! Also I use mine at least 4 times a week feeding my family. Okay enough of that! Combine all the ingredients minus the lemon juice to the Instant Pot. Set your Instant Pot to pressure cook for 15 minutes, then allow it to vent for an additional 15 minutes. Add the squeeze of lemon juice (about 1 tbsp) At this point you will need to either transfer the mash to your blender, or use an immersion blender to smooth out the apple butter.
